I think my Physics Teacher is trying to kill me?

My physics teacher said that -> "Draw and label a parallel circuit with 2 3-ohm resistors on each path. Have 2 paths total. Label the battery 12 V. Put an ammeter and a voltmeter in the circuit. Solve for the effective resistance of the circuit and the current on the main path." Now, I'm cool with resistors and all that, but I really don't know what she's asking over here.. Can somebody please elaborate? Maybe even show?
