How to calculate for resistors to drop voltage?

i am building a charger, the two data pins require 2v but the main power is 5v at 500ma (0.5 amps) what resistor do i need to drop 5v at 500ma to 2v at 500ma? if you could tell me how to calculate it it would be wonderful!
